There are two main ways for Apple users to go when it comes to home automation. You can use Apple’s HomeKit but it’s expensive and you end up with several different apps to control the different companies products or I can simplify things for you with Wyze.
They have a variety of home automation products and services at a fraction of the competition without sacrificing features or functionality. Control and record Indoor and Outdoor Wireless Cameras, Light Bulbs and Switches, Power Plugs, Sprinklers, Door Locks, Thermostats, robo-vacuums, & much more.
Wyze supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Use an Amazon Echo Show devices to view your security cameras with a simple voice command without leaving your bed. Use the App to check if the garage door is closed or the lights were left on.
Answer the video doorbell and unlock the door to let someone in from anywhere in the world. You can even save money using their smart thermostat. Ring (Doorbell) was bought by Google, and Nest (thermostat) by Amazon, both companies compete with Apple. For the cost of those you could almost automate your whole house.
